HERMINE DEURLOO APPOINTED AS TEACHER CHROMATIC HARMONICA

Hermine Deurloo has been appointed as teacher chromatic harmonica at Codarts, the conservatory of Rotterdam. She is the first teacher ever in The Netherlands to teach this instrument at university level.

“I will start with just one student. It is a very special instrument and there are not many musicians that can play it at the required level. But I hope and expect that by creating this platform other students will follow. At the moment you can only get training at this level in France and Brazil.”

“I am honoured and thrilled to be able to get this chance, it is a great challenge for me. There is no existing methodology for my instrument, I will create and expand on it myself.” 

Her latest album “Welling” which she recorded with string quartet Zapp4 was released just before the summer.
