"A fictional reworking of Exiles in Eden, Paul Reyes' nonfiction exploration of the housing crisis in Florida, Trashed Out is an interactive show where members of the band step forward to play roles and displaced characters show up unexpectedly to help the performers tell their stories of foreclosure, homelessness, heartbreak, and love.
Trashed Out was chosen for a residency at BRIC in Brooklyn this fall 2014 and our Kickstarter campaign is raising funds to make it happen. The residency is 10 days and will culminate in two work-in-progress performances on Nov. 7th and 8th. We need money to pay musicians and actors, fund the creation of video projections that are essential to the show, build props, and purchase necessities ranging from musical and technical items to photocopies to food, coffee, and water.
